Elad Ashkenazi, born in 1993, is a guitar player/songwriter originally from Israel, currently based in the Netherlands.
He started playing guitar at the age of 10, quickly developing a deep connection to blues and soul music during his teen years.
Artists such as B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan and David Gilmour were especially influencial.
As a step in developing his musical horizons, he left his home country at the age of 21 and flew across the pond to spend time in one of the key cities for blues music, St. Louis, Missouri, as well as the heart of roots music, New Orleans, Louisiana, with a mission to draw inspiration from local blues & jazz musicians.
He aims bring out modern influences without sacrificing the raw emotion that is familiar with the roots, soul & blues.
This makes for a special sound that is as fresh as it is authentic.
